ASQA's decision—initial CRICOS registration
After the site audit has been conducted, a recommendation is made to the delegate.
The recommendation is about your organisation's compliance with the National Code, the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act) and where relevant, the English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) National Standards. Based on the evidence provided, the delegate will make a decision about your application and you will be advised in writing of the outcome together with the audit report
The audit report will outline the audit findings identifying compliance or non-compliance with legislative requirements and relevant standards.
- If your application is approved ASQA will inform the Department of Education that your Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) application has been provisionally granted, and request invoices be sent to you for:
- Entry to Market Charges, and
- Tuition Protection Services levy.
Once payment is received by the Department of Education, ASQA will finalise your CRICOS registration.
Annual registration fees
You will also be required to pay an Annual Registration Charge to the Department of Education. For more information on this charge, refer to the International Education website.
Once your registration is granted, you will be required to begin paying ASQA annual registration fees.
If your application is rejected
If all or part of your application for registration under the ESOS Act is unsuccessful, ASQA will write to you, explaining the reasons for the decision.
You may choose to seek a review of the decision. Find out more about your options if you disagree with ASQA's decision.
