ASQA SLG (Stakeholder Liaison Group)
The objective of the ASQA SLG is to inform and improve how ASQA interacts with providers in its pursuit of regulatory outcomes.
SLG members are selected on the basis of their VET sector expertise, experience and commitment.
ASQA’s strategic objective is to achieve its purpose through its regulation and partnership with others.
ASQA has expanded its engagement and consultation with the VET sector as part of its long-term reform agenda. Stakeholder engagement supports ASQA’s strategic objective and government priorities for quality VET outcomes and continuous improvement of the regulatory framework.
The revised Terms of Reference includes:
- purpose centred on ASQA’s regulatory engagement and education and interactions with regulated entities as part of ASQA’s Regulatory Operating Model
- a provision for the formation of SLG sub-groups aligned to the annual regulatory risk priorities to work with ASQA to co-design strategies for the treatment of sector risks
- a provision for ASQA to consider applications from existing members to extend their membership for an additional term
