Update on regulatory decisions relating to Study Group Australia Pty Limited

On 16 January 2018 the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) announced that it had cancelled the registration of Study Group Australia Pty Limited (registered training organisation (RTO) number 5806) as a provider of vocational education and training (VET) services, including to overseas students.

ASQA advises that, following an application to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) by the RTO, its decision has been stayed pending the determination of an application to review the decision.

ASQA and Study Group agreed that a stay be granted on condition that Study Group does not:

• enrol any new students in any VET course
• make any offer of future enrolment in VET courses to any student
• conduct any advertising or marketing of any of its VET courses, including through third parties.
