ASQA approves a further extension to the transition period for 13 High-risk work Units of Competency until 1 March 2020

On 7 August 2019, ASQA approved an extended transition period for the following 13 high-risk work units of competency until 1 January 2020.

  • TLILIC0012 - Licence to operate a vehicle loading crane (capacity 10 metre tonnes and   above)
  • TLILIC2001 - Licence to operate a forklift truck
  • TLILIC2002 - Licence to operate an order picking forklift truck
  • TLILIC2005 - Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more)
  • TLILIC3003 - Licence to operate a bridge and gantry crane
  • TLILIC3004 - Licence to operate a derrick crane
  • TLILIC3006 - Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity)
  • TLILIC3007 - Licence to operate a portal boom crane
  • TLILIC3008 - Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes)
  • TLILIC4009 - Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 60 tonnes)
  • TLILIC4010 - Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 100 tonnes)
  • TLILIC4011 - Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (over 100 tonnes)
  • TLILIC3019 - Licence to operate a reach stacker (greater than 3 tonnes capacity)
     

On 4 December 2019, ASQA Commissioners agreed to extend the transition period until 1 March 2020, to allow adequate time for the National Assessment Instruments to be implemented.

The 13 high-risk work units of competency will remain on RTOs scope of registration until the end of the extended transition period, unless the RTO chooses to withdraw it from scope prior.
