Continued support for flood-affected providers

ASQA continues to support training providers across NSW and Queensland facing challenges following the recent floods.

To assist in their recovery, we have worked closely with affected providers and have published guidance and information on how ASQA can support those who have been affected.

We do this using a risk-based, proportionate approach to regulation to find the best outcomes for flood-affected providers, providing information and support, monitoring risks and maintaining essential safeguards. 

This includes:

• extending the due date for the Annual Declaration on Compliance from 31 March 2022 to 29 April 2022 for all flood-affected providers
• giving advice on how to use the material change notification to advise ASQA of a material change in circumstance, such as a temporary period of inactivity
• considering extensions to flood-affected providers in their application to transition students into new training products or when performance assessments are underway.
