New version of asqanet to be released

20 November 2019

On Monday 2 December, ASQA will be releasing a new version of our online portal system, asqanet.

This new asqanet release will provide updates in several key areas:

  • third party arrangements—providers will now be able to create and cease third party arrangements using asqanet
  • delivery locations—providers will now be able to differentiate between VET and CRICOS locations
  • portal user verification—a verification code sent to a registered email will replace the previous system of secret questions and answers.

In addition to these updates, ASQA will also be launching asqaconnect—a new online portal to receive complaints alleging provider non-compliance.

As part of this update, please note that asqanet will be unavailable from 12 noon (AEDT) Thursday 28 November until 9.00 am (AEDT) Monday 2 December.

Business names in asqanet

Applicants and providers will no longer be required by asqanet to inform ASQA of the business names associated with their legal entity. Instead, this data will be sourced directly from the Australian Business Register (ABR).

This means you will no longer be required to keep ASQA informed regarding updates to business names.

You will need to ensure that your operating business name is registered and listed on the ABR.
