Student record verification for third parties
Third-party stakeholders such as employers, licencing bodies or Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) may wish to verify the authenticity of a student’s qualification or statement of attainment.
ASQA does not have a register of all qualifications and competencies issued by RTOs.
- For training completed after 1 January 2015, record verification can be completed through the Unique Student Identifier (USI) Transcript Service. Give access to providers - Unique Student Identifier (usi.gov.au).
- For training completed before 1 January 2015, verification can be completed by the issuing RTO. All RTO contact details can be found on the national register, training.gov.au.
If the RTO is no longer operating
If the RTO that issued the certification is no longer operating, ASQA may be able to verify the student’s records, provided that the RTO was registered with ASQA and submitted its student records to us when they closed. Please check our Closed RTOs that have provided ASQA with student records webpage.
If you have confirmed the issuing RTO has closed and submitted records to ASQA, please direct the student to submit a Student Record Request through our contact form. Due to the applicant declaration, this must be completed by the student, however students have the option of forwarding the student record to a third-party.
