Revised Standards
Revised Standards - Episode 1, 19 December 2024
The policy version of the revised Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) (the Standards) has been released to help the sector prepare for when they come into full regulatory effect from 1 July 2025.
The revised Standards comprise of the Outcome Standards, Compliance Requirements and Credential Policy. The change in structure and content in the revised Standards provides a clearer and more direct link between the requirements RTOs are expected to meet and the outcomes they are expected to deliver.

Lapsing provisions - Episode 1, 30 October 2024
On 29 March 2024, the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Amendment (Strengthening Quality and Integrity in Vocational Education and Training No.1) Act 2024 was enacted. Under this legislation, a registered training organisation's registration will automatically lapse if it does not deliver any training and/or assessment to VET students for a consecutive period of 12 months or more (the ‘measurement period’), unless ASQA grants an extension to the measurement period.
