ASQA Stakeholder Liaison Group Communiqué June 2024

Over the 4th quarter for 2023-24 ASQA and the Stakeholder Liaison Group (SLG) met twice.

On 4 April 2024, the SLG and ASQA representatives were invited to engage with Department of Employment and Workplace Relations on the draft Compliance Requirements and Credential Policy which form part of the document hierarchy for the revised Standards for RTOs.

On 19 June 2024, we held an online meeting for the whole SLG Membership. Discussions included:

  • a general overview of the upcoming program of work regarding the revised Standards for RTOs 
  • the potential structure of the new sub-groups for the 2024-25 financial year
  • potential new educative approaches.

SLG members are eager to promote the revised Standards as an opportunity to reaffirm self-assurance. The group also discussed preparations and suggestions for the upcoming face to face meeting in November 2024, which will include integrity updates, industry engagement and the important topic of sector reputation.

We look forward to finalising the new SLG sub-groups and inviting insightful discussion from our experienced and enthusiastic Stakeholder Liaison Group members.
