Corporate Plan
ASQA’s Corporate Plan 2024-25 was published on 27 August 2024 and a revised version of the Plan was published on 14 February 2025.
The Corporate Plan outlines our strategic direction for 2024-25. It highlights our renewed approach in strengthening our relationships with Australia’s VET sector and reflects our purpose of ensuring quality vocational education and training so that students, industry, governments and the community have confidence in the integrity of national qualifications issued by training providers.
Our focus on changes impacting the system and providers over the past few years, most recently with the reopening of Australia's international markets and shift in financial and technological settings, is reflected in our program of work and regulatory risk priorities.
The Corporate Plan includes information about:

- performance measures for tracking success against our strategic objectives.
In February 2025, ASQA’s Corporate Plan was varied to include direct reference to ASQA’s activities to protect individuals, employers and the public from the risks posed by inadequate training and assessment of employees by focusing on the integrity of individual qualifications and statements of attainment.
Strategic objectives
ASQA delivers improved provider self-assurance capability and continuous quality improvement
- Our regulatory tools and practices support providers to self-assure quality VET outcomes and continuously improve
- Our published insights about risks and the outcomes of our risk treatments support providers to self-assure their own operations
ASQA regulation is best practice, integrated, risk-based and proportionate
- Our regulation focuses on the greatest risk of harm to the integrity of training products and achievement of quality outcomes
- Our education and communication with the sector supports sustained compliance
- We manage risks proportionately and maintain essential safeguards
- We implement better practice improvements in how we exercise our regulatory functions
ASQA is transparent in the performance of its regulatory functions and its responsibilities, including compliance with the Standards for VET Regulators 2015, and publishes information about the performance of the sector to support transparency and accountability
