ASQA strengthens regional linkages

11 December 2019

ASQA has renewed memoranda of understanding with education organisations in Singapore and Hong Kong.

The aim is to help improve the quality of vocational education and training by exchanging information and enhancing regulation and quality assurance.

ASQA’s continuing regional partners are SkillsFuture Singapore and the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ).

Skillsfuture is a national movement to provide Singaporeans with the opportunities to develop their fullest potential throughout life, regardless of their starting points.

The HKCAAVQ provides quality assurance and assessment services to education and training institutions, course providers and the public.

Dr Irene Ioannakis, ASQA’s Commissioner for Regulatory Operations, said ASQA valued the continuing relationships.

'Both these collaborative partnerships will be key in strengthening the skills and VET relationship with Singapore and Hong Kong and ensuring the high quality of skills training in all jurisdictions.'
