Quality indicator annual summary – submit by 30 June 2022
Quality indicator annual summary reports are due 30 June 2022.
This year, providers are invited to submit their data online using this webform.
Alternatively, collated responses can be populated using the quality indicator annual summary report template (DOC), and sent to qidata@asqa.gov.au by 30 June.
Quality indicator annual summary reports consist of student engagement and employer satisfaction data and is an important measure for both providers and for ASQA, helping to enable provider self-assurance and continuous improvement, while also contributing to national benchmarking.
Reporting this data is a condition of the Data Provision Requirements 2020, which requires that all Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) registered with ASQA collect and report their student and employer feedback.
The following providers are exempt from reporting quality indicator data for the 2021 calendar year:
- If your RTO was granted initial registration after 30 June 2021. This applies whether the initial registration was by ASQA or another registering body.
- If your RTO did not provide any nationally recognised training or assessment services in the previous calendar year and submitted a ‘Nil return’ in the data collection for the Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS).
- If your RTO took part in the VET Student Experience Survey (VETSES) in the 2021 calendar year you do not need to submit additional student data to ASQA. You still need to give us employer data.
Providers are encouraged to collect feedback data in the first half of the year about the previous calendar year (1 January to 31 December). The Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) provides questionnaire templates for providers to use for learners and employers when asking for feedback.
