Transition extensions

Learn how to extend your transition period

When a training product changes, you have time to transition.

Clauses 1.26 (a), (b) and (c) of the Standards outline the time allowed for transitioning to new training products.

Use our transition checklist to monitor progress and identify issues early. 

We have the authority to extend your transition period.

You can apply for a transition extension. 

Show us how this request will benefit you, your students and/or the relevant industry.

Provide all related evidence with your application.

In order to ensure there is adequate time to consider your request, please lodge your extension request at least 180 days before the current transition period ends.

Administrative errors or delays in preparing your delivery materials are not valid reasons for a transition extension.
